Interested in holding an event during Law Week 2017? From Monday 15 May to Sunday 21 May 2017 Law Week will run across the state of Victoria, and continue to deliver fun, informative and engaging events to make the law easier for the community.

Before developing a new online legal resource, make sure you check that there is a need for it and be clear why you’re making it. Is the development of your resource supported by research that outlines a particular legal need in the audience that you are targeting?

Got an idea to improve Victorians understanding of the law? You could be eligible for a General Grant. Once again, we will be giving priority to Law Week events and legal information projects. In our last grants round, Barwon Community Legal Service received a General Grant to develop pop up legal health check stalls across the Barwon region. More than 1200 people passing by took part.

There’s no better way for the public to explore the law than to get involved in Law Week, which runs from 16–22 May 2016 right across Victoria. With free legal health checks, music performances, tours, mock trials and debates, the 37th annual Law Week festival offers something for everyone. Read our blog to find out more

Here at the foundation we’re working hard to spread the word about the range of great events taking place in Melbourne and across regional Victoria from 16 to 22 May 2016. We’d like to share our ideas on how you can publicise your Law Week event to help get as many people as possible through the door.
