Community education and projects

We provide legal education to help build knowledge in the community about legal rights and responsibilities. We also produce information to help people once they are in the legal system, and maintain a range of legal tools that can be used by teachers and other workers. Our focus is on early intervention to prevent legal problems from arising or escalating.

We often collaborate with other organisations across Victoria and nationally on legal education projects to benefit particular groups or to address specific legal issues. For more information, please Contact us.

A kit for teachers teaching people in the Humanitarian Settlement Services Onshore Orientation Program.

Learning the law is an online suite of teaching tools for secondary specialist school teachers.

We are working with community partners to develop and deliver education sessions for newly arrived communities about Australian laws regarding family relationships.

We work with government, legal and community organisations to deliver legal education about sex and the law to secondary school students.

We work with legal sector, community and government partners to deliver legal education that addresses common legal issues encountered by new arrivals in their first years of settlement.

Free resources

We produce a range of free publications, resources and educator kits for community workers and teachers. Some of these are produced in languages other than English. We also have videos about the law.
