end sexual harassment

We’re calling on governments across Australia to take urgent and coordinated action to prevent sexual harassment.

Time’s up. We need urgent action now.

Everyone deserves to be safe at work and in their community. But our communities and our workplaces can’t be safe if sexual harassment continues to affect so many.  We know that sexual harassment is about more than just individual behaviour. Gender inequality, along with our cultural norms and structures, allow sexual harassment to continue. And we need it to stop.

It’s time that employers and workplaces stamp out sexual harassment. We know what the solutions are, but we need governments and employers to implement them. We need strong action to prevent and respond to sexual harassment, and we need it now. Take a look at our top asks of government to end sexual harassment.

Volunteers, not victims

Nobody should be the victim of sexual harassment. But in some states, it’s not against the law to sexually harass volunteers. We’re working to ensure all volunteers and unpaid workers are given full legal protection from sexual harassment, and that charities can act to prevent harassment in their organisation.
